TREASURE Debut Album Sets New Record For 1st Week Album Sale

YG Entertainment new boy group TREASURE has set new records by selling over 160,614 copies of their debut album in just over a week.

The rookie group debuted on august 7, 2020 as a 12 members group and in just over a week, the group took over the world by storm.The group initially started with the record of 200,000 Pre-debut album sales and this margin is increasing continuously with time.

According to daily sales data provided by hanteo chart, " THE FIRST STEP: CHAPTER ONE" which was released on august 13th, was sold 121,943 copies on august 13,  the first day of the release, setting to make an unprecedented result as debut album.

 Afterward the album was sold 6,223 copies on 14th, 568 copies on 15th, 33th copies on 16th, 52 copies on 17th, 15,018 copies on 18th, 16,777 copies on the 19th making a total of 160,000 sales in its first week and made new debut record.

The public is looking forward to TREASURE future record as the group was debuted under YG Entertainment four years after BLACKPINK debuted on  august 8, 2016.

 Also The album’s carrier track “Boy” has topped iTunes Top Songs chart in 19 countries   including Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Luxembourg, Indonesia, Qatar, Peru, Thailand, and more.while its music video has reached 23.69 million views based on YouTube’s screen counter since its release on Aug 7.
